1. 01 Does AppVault have a free tier?

   Yes. The free tier lets you import one (1) file into the encrypted vault — enough to verify the unlock flow, the encryption, the pattern lock, and the recovery phrase before committing to a subscription. The Premium-only features (Calculator Launcher disguise, Decoy Vault, Intruder Selfie, File Shredder, and unlimited files) require an active subscription.
2. 02 What are the paid plans and how much do they cost?

   There are two auto-renewing subscriptions: AppVault Premium Weekly, starting at USD 3.99 per week, and AppVault Premium Yearly, starting at USD 29.99 per year with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Prices vary by App Store region; the exact price in your local currency is shown inside the app on the paywall before you confirm any purchase. We do not offer a monthly plan and we do not offer a lifetime / one-time purchase.
3. 03 Is there a 7-day free trial?

   Yes — on the Yearly Premium plan only, and only for users who have not previously subscribed to AppVault Premium. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial converts into a paid yearly subscription and your Apple ID is charged at the displayed yearly price.
4. 04 How do I cancel a subscription?

   Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your Apple ID at the top → Subscriptions → AppVault → Cancel Subscription. Apple handles all billing for AppVault; we do not have direct access to your payment details and cannot process refunds.
5. 05 Can I get a refund?

   Refunds are processed by Apple. Use Apple's "Report a Problem" page at reportaproblem.apple.com within the standard refund window. We do not contest legitimate refund requests with Apple.
6. 06 Why no lifetime tier?

   Because AppVault is a security product, not a one-and-done utility. Cryptographic standards evolve, iOS changes break old patterns, and an unmaintained vault is a worse outcome than a discontinued one. A subscription pays for ongoing maintenance, security updates, and iOS compatibility — the things that decide whether your vault is still safe two years from now.
7. 07 Does AppVault Premium work offline?

   Yes. Once a subscription is purchased, AppVault validates the receipt through Apple's on-device StoreKit and keeps the Premium entitlement cached locally. The Premium features (Calculator Launcher, Decoy Vault, Intruder Selfie, File Shredder, unlimited imports) work fully offline.
8. 08 Are there ads in AppVault?

   No. AppVault has no banner ads, no interstitial ads, no rewarded ads, and no third-party ad mediation SDKs in either the free or paid tier. The App Tracking Transparency prompt is not invoked because the IDFA is never read.
